William James Young Neish lived in San Francisco, CA in the 1890's and early 1900's and is on the 1910 census in Ludlow, Massachusetts. He is listed as a widower with 2 of his sons, William Jr. and Earl. They lived the rest of their lives in the Ludlow area. Earl was born 7 AUG 1904 in San Francisco, his brother William was born there in 1898 and another brother, Walter, was born there in 1899. I suspect they may have been survivors of the 1906 Earthquake in San Francisco. However, wife Jane and young Walter did not survive. I'm hoping to determine if they were there for the quake and narrow down the time frame from when the family left San Francisco and came to Ludlow, MA. The 1907 S. F. City directory does not list the family. Any help would be appreciated.
