I am researching my great-grandfather Peter Treitz believed to have immigrated from Oldenberg, Germany in approximately 1855. He appears in 1880 in Chicago, ILL, always living with or near John or Nickolas Treitz. Peter Treitz married Anna Peterson who was from Trondheim, Norway. I would like to communicate with any Treitz researchers as this appears to be an uncommon name even today.
