I have been told that my greeat-great grandmother and g-g- grandfather were from this county and of cherokee descent. There names were William Marion Dewberry, son of Richard and Florinda Dewberry - born May 22, 1830 in Forsythe, Monroe Co., Ga. Died April 20, 1893 in Cleburne Co.,Ga. Jane Frances Loyd, daughter of Jehu and Huckeba Loyd, born 4-1-1835 in Georgia. Any help would be appreciated.
