The following Byrd's/Bird's of Benton County were originally from Sevier County, Tennessee and some of their descendents are having difficulty in making the connection to earlier generations. I am posting the following in the hopes it will be of help:
Henry Bird, born 1820 and married Margaret Catherine Fox. He moved to Benton County about 1840 and had several children. They married heavily into the Breshears family. Several of his descendents still live in Benton County. Henry is the son of Lewis Bird of Sevier County.
William Bird, born circa 1810 and married Deliza Derrick. He was the son of Jacob Bird of Sevier County. William was in Benton County by 1840 and was an uncle of Henry, listed above.
Adam Bird, born 1844 and married Martha Gregory. He operated a feed store and mill in Benton County, Sedalia area, and died in 1944. His father was Andrew Bird of Sevier County.
All the Bird's in the Benton County area descend from these Bird's. I have put together a book on this line of Bird's and can help you get back to the proper family. Descendents of these Bird's have hired so-called "Professional genealogist" and they have given out false information!!
