My Smith family arrived in Jackson Co., AL in 1825 and settled in the Larkinsville area in a little hamlet called Blue Springs Cove. I have been to Blue Springs Cove and nothing left except the cemetery. James Smith and his son David settled here out of Tennessee, Chattanooga area. Apparently, they were Cherokee people. I am interested in corresponding with anyone who may know anything about them. I also am interested in learning more about the Indian reservations of Jackson Co., AL. Does anyone have a list of the owners for the reservations?
