Hello,
After a long search, I believe I may have located an ancestor listed on the 1930 Washington, DC census as being a
resident of the US Soldier's Home there. His name was Henry
Finnigan/Finnegan.
I believe he may have died there around then or by 1932.
1) Would anyone know the name of the home and, if it
still exists, are records available?
I am most interested in obtaining his death certificate and determining where he was buried.
2) Does the District of Columbia have its own vital records office?
An obituary would also be helpful if anyone has a suggestion as to the names of newspapers existing at that time.
THANK YOU!!!
Jo
