Looking for information on the above mentioned surnames. I'm first generation American so it's been rather hard to find the threads of the family after my emmigrated Grandparents and Parents. Surnames are Knopf and Schlaffer on my paternal side and Windisch and Fasching on my maternal side. The Name Hoffmeister is the maiden name of my maternal great grandmother whom I believe never emmigrated to America. All lived in Deutsch-Schutzen, Burgenland, Austria. Anyone know how I can find further information? I seem to be stuck at Ellis Island!
