I have constructed a large Family Tree, which of course has many gaps and brick walls! One of these concerns a great aunt of mine, named Susanna Hannaford Maunder, born 1864 in Teignmouth, sister of my maternal grandfather, William Henry Maunder. I have tracked her through the census records until 1911, when she was single, and a boarder in the home of a market gardener in St Austell, Cornwall. I cannot find a death record for her, nor an emigration. There is a possible marriage to a George Hamley in 1911, but that is in St Mabyn, and does not record her middle name. I am intrigued as to what became of her. If I order a birth certificate, is it possible then to trace a death certificate? There is a rumour that she was the black sheep of the family, but no one alive now can remember why. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
