I am looking for any information on Elisha Smothers. He was born around 1800 in Tennessee. I do not know who his wife was or how many children he had. The only child I know of was a daughter--Martha M.D. Smothers--who was born on August 24, 1839 in Carroll County, Tennessee. She married James F. Sinor (from Franklin County, TN) and moved to Marion County, AR. They had 9 children. If anyone has any information on either Elisha or Martha Smothers, please let me know.
