Would a death certificate possibly contain information as to there the subject was buried?
I have a great-grand-uncle that was originally from Illinois, lived many years in Minnesota and traveled the country during his retirement the last 10 years or so of his life. He actually passed away on a trip to Alabama. Family recollections are very sketchy as to where he was laid to rest and all searches of the cemeteries in some of the respective areas have yielded nothing. I was planning on ordering a copy of his death certificate in the hopes it might yield some clues.
