Surnames: LEWIS, BONE, WILLIAMS,

John Lewis prof. Stock-broker b c1790 m Caroline (maiden name unknown)b 1797

Had the following children.
John Bone Lewis b1817
Caroline Bone Lewis b 1819
Charles George Bone Lewis b 1821
Edward Bone Lewis b 1829
Thomas Bone Lewis b 1831
George Bone Lewis b 1833
Alfred Bone Lewis b 1834

These children were baptised several times, eldest two baptised Marylebone, all children except the two youngest were then baptised St Pancras. Family stated as living at Field Terrace, just down the road from Kings Cross. The family fell on hard times in the 1830's and the youngest two were baptised in Shoreditch, Abode stated as Old Hoxton Town.

John Lewis died c 1833 at which point his wife Caroline married a John Williams prof. Stock-broker. By 1841 census Caroline again was alone and in 1852 she was found drowned in the Regents Canal, Shoreditch. (newspaper article does not give any clues as to her birthplace

To date have been unable to trace either John's birth, marriage to Caroline or his death. To confuse the matter there is another John Lewis prof. Surgeon with wife Caroline Kell,in 1810 but no connection.

Somewhere there obviously is a link with the surname Bone, but no evidence found.

To date have collected a great deal of information on this family and some other Lewis families in error. I would be pleased to hear from anyone that may have connections.
