My father's mother passed away in 1960. She left behind 5 kids, 3 girls and 2 boys. My grandfather (Thomas Owens) was not capable of raising kids, so he put all 5 kids up for adoption. The oldest 2 girls were placed in foster care, the third daughter and my father were adopted by the May family, and the youngest child disappeared.
We have a rumor that a cousin of my grandfather took the baby, Kenneth Owens, November 1959. We also have a hunch that he was adopted illegally, i.e., sold to a rich, sterile family.
I have searched the local county name change records from 1960 to 1990 but there is no Kenneth Owens in any of the open records.
If anybody has any hints or ideas of how I can try to locate Kenny, it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
