I am searching for descendants of anyone named Fee in Linn and Marion Co. Iowa. They are all descendants of Henry Fee and Ellen Ella "Nellie" Long of Henry Co. Virginia. The family then moved to Ohio, then Indiana, then Iowa (some in Missouri). They are all descendants of Color Sergeant Christopher Long who was at Yorktown. HENRY1 FEE was born July 26, 1766 in Pittsylvania Co., Virginia, and died December 01, 1838 in Shelby County, Indiana. He married ELLEN ELLA LONG in Henry Co., Virginia, daughter of CHRISTOPHER LONG and SARAH TURNER. She was born 1780, and died 1860 in Shelby County, Indiana.

Ellen Long (No. 14) the third in line of the Third Generation was born in Culpepper County, Virginia, in the year of 1780. She married Henry Fee in Henry County, Virginia and became the mother of fifteen children, of whom the names of the elder eleven who were born in Henry County, Virginia are the only names known. They were Reuben, George, Thomas, Christopher, Sarah, Dicy, Nancy, Elisha, Joel, James, and Madison Fee. Four more children belonged to this union but the names are unknown to us. She died in Shelby County, Indiana, in 1860 aged 80 years.

Obituary - SERVICES FOR CORLETT FEE (1973)

Funeral services for Corlett Fee, who died August 14, at Collins Memorial Hospital, were held August 17 from Mosher-Flanagan Funeral Home with Rev. Kenneth Suetterlin and Rev. James Nichols officiating. Burial was in Dallas Cemetery with military rites accorded by Dalcher Post 632, American Legion.

Honorary casket bearers were Dr. John Gray, Azel Lang, Ray Garbett, Bernard Carr, Fred Walton and Tillie Wilson. Casket bearers were Clarke Bishop, Bob Pack, Harold Bingham, Jack Wilson, Raymond Wilson and John Merriamn. Mrs. Wilma Bote was organist.

Corlett, son of Miles and Lucy Fee, was born April 29, 1913 at Knoxville, He was married to Dorothy J. Scott of Albia on March 9, 1941. They spent their married life in Melcher and for 18 years he was employed at Firestone in Des Moines. He entered military service on March 26, 1942 and served 3 1/2 years with the Army Air Corps, 11th Bomb. Group and attained the rank of sergeant. He served in the northern Solomans, Pacific, Midway and Asiatic Pacific area and received a service medal with three bronze stars, presidential unit citation and good conduct award.. He was a graduate of Melcher High School,a member of Melcher United Methodist church, and of Dalcher Post 632, American Legion. He was preceded in death by his parents; and two brothers, Rodney Fee of Nashua and Lloyd Fee of Melcher.

Survivors include his wife, Dorothy; three daughters, Mrs. Jack (Colett) Fortune and Mrs. Jerry (Deborah) Binhgam of Melcher, and Mrs. Wayne (Sara) Ripperger of Lacona; one sister Mrs. Frank (Irene) Fisher of Leavenworth, Kansas; and seven grandchildren.

Funeral services for Lloyd Fee, who died October 7 at Collins Memorial Hospital, were held October 11 from the Melcher United Methodist Church with Rev. Merlin Mather officiating. Burial was in Graceland Cemetery at Knoxville under the direction of Flanagan-Mosher Funeral Home. Masonic rites were accorded on Oct. 10.

Casket bearers were Louis Starkovich, Tom Leavengood, Lloyd Young, Richard Young, Bill Dixson, Bill Turner and Verl Cogar. Mrs. JoAnn Luksetich, organist accompanied Mrs. Alma Bagnall, soloist.

Lloyd Harrington, son of Miles R. and Lucinda Roff Fee, was born May 8, 1903 in Knoxville. He was united in marriage to Josephine Pugh in 1927 and lived his married life in Melcher, He operated the Fee Food Market until retiring in 1969. He was a graduate of Melcher High School and a member of the Melcher United Methodist Church and Masonic Lodge. He was preceded in death by his parents, and brother, Rodney.

Survivors include his wife, Josephine; son, Monty; two grandchildren, Douglas and Jerry Lee; one great-granddaughter; one sister Mrs. Frank (Irene) Fisher of Ft. Leavenworth, Kan.; and one brother, Corlett Fee of Melcher.

Obituary- RODNEY M. FEE, 59, DIES AT NASHUA (1966)

Funeral services for Rodney M. Fee, who died Jan. 4 following a three months illness with a heart condition, were held Jan. 7 from the Nashua (Iowa) Methodist Church with Rev. Harvey Walter officiating. Burial was in Graceland Cemetery here (Knoxville).

Casket bearers were Delbert Pratt, Charles Skillen, Arford Allison, Rich Hanisch, James Mahoney and Robert Rockafeller. Roger Peterson, soloist, was accompanied by Mrs. Nelda Shepard, organist. Flower committee was Evelyn Skillen and Pearl Van Kleck.

Rodney Miles, son of Miles Rollo and Lucy Roff Fee, was born Nov. 23, 1906 at Knoxville and was in the grocery business in Melcher until moving to Nashua in 1954. He graduated from the Melcher public schools in 1925. On August 14, 1932, he was married to Mary Ann Bubo of Melcher, at Princeton, MO. He served on the Melcher school board for several years and was secretary of the Big Four Fair Board of Nashua.

Survivors include his wife Mary A.; three sons, Ralph C. Fee of Davenport, Don R. Fee of Marion, and Tom R., at home; one daughter Mrs. Mervin (Josephine) Slump, Waterloo; five grandchildren; two brothers Lloyd and Corlett, Melcher and one sister Mrs. Frank (Irene) Fisher, Leavenworth, Kan.
