We are searching for an organization and or individual who would know if there has been any research done on the first Orphanage in Ft. Worth, (Ft. Worth Benevalent Home est. 1886) later changed to Ft. Worth Children's Home. My gg-grandmother, Margaret Kinaman was employed as a Matron in 1896 along with her husband Adam Kinaman according to the City Director of Ft. Worth 1896-1897. Only appears one time. We are looking for any records of employees and children in that home. Margaret Kinaman age 68 in 1900 had 3 or 4 grandchildren living with her in that home. One of those was a George E Mitchell, my grandfather. Any help or information is greatly appreciated.
