Great-grandfather was rumored to be an orphan. His name was Eugenio Cipriano and was probably from the town of Sant'Elia di Pianisi. He was raised by a family named Giangiacomo in the town of Toro. He married a woman from Toro name Maria Gaetana Tucci. I am interested in how he came by the last name of Cipriano,, we have been told it is a state name and was given to him because he was an orphan. I am interested in verifying any of this information.
