Branches of the GLASS, SHEW, and SHATTERLY/SHATLEY families moved from
Guilford County to Wilkes County about 1800. I have large files to share on
the descendants of John Philip GLASS, Philip SHEW, and Andrew SHATTERLY in
both counties, and virtually all of the individuals in Wilkes County with
these surnames came from these three pioneers.
