Permelia Roberts (m. Aaron Smith c. May 1805)

I am researching my Smith roots. The only information I had from Smith oral family history was that one of my 3grGF's was named was Aaron, his wife's name was Mary and they had a son named Joel (who was my 2grGF). In my genealogical travels, I have learned that his wife was called "Millie" ("Millie--"Mary" not bad for "oral" family history this long after the fact!), with a couple of sources stating her name was Permelia Roberts, and one stating she was b. abt 1787.

Aaron Smith (b. 18 Apr 1776; d.abt 1843, after a fall from a horse) was disowned by the Quakers on 31 May 1805 for marrying out of unity (meaning his wife was not a Quaker), so they would have married before that date. My 2grGF Joel may have been their first child (b. 21 Apr 1807), but, if he wasn't the first, the others must have died in infancy. Probable daughters include Almira (m. Guthie), Matilda and Sarah (m1. Smith; m2. Czigan). Do not know if there were any other children.

Does this stike a chord with anyone's family???

TIA,
Krystine
