I am researching the August SCHWANTES family in Hustisford, Dodge county, WIsconsin. August (b. Sep 1842)was married to Emilie SCHULTZ (b. Mar 1842). Their children are: Albert, Herman, William, Louise and Heinrich (Henry).
August and Emilie (with Albert and Herman) arrived in Baltimore from Bremen on May 22, 1873. Some of the other names on the passenger list are: Johann BIELKE, Ludwig DUMMA, Wilhelmine DALKE, and August RADNE.
Henry SCHWANTES eventually moved to Oak Grove township, Dodge co., Wisconsin.
I would like to know where this family came from in Germany.
