I am trying to trace my maternal grand-
mothers' geneology. She was married to
Jacob Sammons, son of Sylvester Sanmmons, and
grandson of Jacob Sammons. I believe her
dad's last name was Ellis. She may have
come to Michigan through Canada, possibly
through Mackinaw Island, and her husband
was the first white settler in Cheboygan. Mi.
Her name might actually have been Stephanie.
