Hi,
This funeral notice was recently passed down to me, and I'm told this lady the namesake for my great great grandmother Emily Apple Bechtel, b. 1840- 1916, a dau. of John Bechtel and Catherine Bender his wife of Philadelphia. My great great grandmother m. Elwood Kiger in 1868 and died in Salem county, New Jersey.


FUNERAL
The funeral services of EMILY S. APPLE, wife of Henry S. Apple, will take place from her late residence,northeast corner of North Main and Green Streets, tom-morrow (Thursday) at 2 o'clock, P. M.
The friends of the family are respectfully invited.

Decatur, Ill., March 6, 1872

I assume that last shows the city this notice was published, so imagine that's where they lived. Would appreciate any information regarding this lady or her husband, Henry Apple.
