I have a letter to Angeline Allen dated 4/10/1853 it's from her sister, Chloe Cordelia Sheffield, who lived in SE Michigan. Allen's lived in Ontario, NY. Wayne Co. The letter refers to Angeline expecting a new baby and at least 2 other children in the houshold besides her and her husband Levi. I want to find out more about all of them. What the children's names were and what happened to them. Chloe was my GreatGrandmother. She married Galusha Carpenter. They raised and adopted my Grandpa Judson Scott Carpenter, when his mother died 10 days after he was born. His mother was Chloe's sister. His birth name was Van Houten. His dad couldn't take care of a baby so Carpenter's raised him as their own. I would like more information so I can work on that side of my family....
