SERENDIPITY: For your information, on the cover of the May-June 1990 issue of "The Genealogical Helper" magazine is a full-size, charming photo of the 8th grade graduating class (June 1909) of St. Andrew's parochial school, Murphysboro, Illinois.
The nine students pictured are about 14 years of age - Joseph Borgsmiller, Bertha Vastine, Helena Pelligrini, Anna Eovaldi, Owen Hudson, Rosalie Mittchel, Adaline Henrich, Maria Winkelman and Josephine Clifford.
The girls are wearing matching ruffled white dresses with what appear to be large white bows in the back of their hair with attached floral cascades that drape across their right shoulders and flow nearly down to the hem of their skirts. The boys have dark suits and floral ribbon boutonnieres.
This gorgeous photo was submitted by Ms. Mary. J. Gass, Granite City, Illinois, the niece of Adaline (Henrich) Wilson. Lovely Adaline was born 27 July 1895 and died 01 Nov 1979 in Murphysboro, IL. Please reference that issue for further details.
Hope this "snippet" provides just the right clue to a researcher.
