Elizabeth 'Lizzie' Powell (1868-1941) d/o William Powell and Mary Dale was reportedly a Red Cross nurse in France during WWI. Is there any local source to confirm or deny this? Supposedly she also worked for a doctor some where in the St Clair/Madison area.
