Has Ancestry Changed it's signon policies?

Up until quite recently, I've simply kept a window active on my Ancestry account most of the time, with tabs for the specific databases I'm using currently. No problems at all with the session expiring.

Over the last couple of weeks, I'm encountering frequent expirations for the sessions. While I'm not sure of the exact timing, it seems like, if I keep a session open for more than 12 hours or so without using it (such as overnight), the session always expires. That's a nuisance, since I'm often in the middle of a database review, and am now having to remember to take notes about where I'm at in the review process.

An added nuisance is that, after I close out the expired session, the rules seem to require that I wait half an hour before trying again. That seems pretty pointless. Would reduce the aggravation considerably if there was no wait period.

Has anyone else encountered this problem recently. Or, have there been any announcements as to a change of Ancestry policy?

Thanks,

Larry Van Wormer
