I found a great website that gives you free access to Chicago Tribune death notices going back to 1860! It is not complete but I found a huge number of records for my family.

1) Go to http://infoweb.newsbank.com/, and enter 'guest' for both your login and password.

2) Click "America's Obituaries & Death Notices".

3) Enter the name of the deceased in either the "Name of Deceased" field or the "Other Information" field.

4) Click "Search".

5) Spend countless hours, days, or weeks going through so many records.
