Looking for ancestors, spouse, siblings, and descendants of Lt. Gen. Henry Adolphus Procter of War of 1812 fame. Originally commander of the British 41st Regt., at Fort George, he was later placed in command of British forces in Canada, after the death of Sir Isaac Brock. Gen. Procter was born in 1763 in Ireland, eldest son of Dr. Richard Procter, a British Army Surgeon, and died in 1822(?) in Bath, England.
I am a descendant (GGGGrandson) of Capt. Wm. Bruce Procter (1777-1854), born at Old Ship, New York, 5th son of Dr. Richard Procter. I am especially interested in finding out who the other siblings are. I have extensive records of Capt. Wm. Bruce Procter's descendents, and ancestors & descendants of his spouse, Jane Crooks. I am willing to share this information.
