Abigail was the daughter of Phinehas and Ester (Finney) Briggs. Phinehas b abt 1718 m Norton Bristol MA 27 Dec 1739 d. bef 9 Masy 1754. Esther Finney b 24 Aug 1719 Norton Bristol MA d. aft. 1773. They had 7 children
Phinehas was the son of John Briggs, Deacon b 19 Mar 1680 Tauton, Bristol MA d bef 30 Jan 1756 and his wife Hannah Rockett. They also had 7 children I know nothing about Hannah except I have been told she was the d/o John and Mary Wilmarth Rockett.
Esther Finney was the d/o John Finney b 13 Apr 1696 Barnstable BR, Swansea and m. Mary Cambel 12 Jan 1715 Norton Bristol MA Mary was born 8 May 1696 in Norton Bristol MA
John Finney was the s/o Jeremiah Finney b 15 Aug 1662 m 7 Jan 1684 Boston Suffolk MA d. 18 Feb 1748 and Esther Lewis of Lynn Essec MA she d 11 Apr 1743
Mary Cambel was the d/o Sylvanius Cambel of Norton and Mary Leonard about whom I know very little.
