After James' death, Jane Ann PETERKIN, nee HIRD married John Edward FOSTER, the son of John E. and Mary Ann Foster of New Glasgow, Quebec. At the time marriage, John Edward FOSTER was a farmer in Kilkenney Co., Montcalm, Que.
