I had ancestors who had property in Morgan Co. starting in 1833. They were listed in the 1850 census but by 1860 only the children were living.

I have the legal land description of the 2 pieces they owned. I took a trip to Morgan Co. but could not find any trace of when the property change hands or who took it over when the parents died.

Where do I go now to find that info? If it's not listed in the county, does the state have an office that handles it?

I need help on this one.
