I am seeking information on three families who immigrated separately from Germany (Wuertemberg and Bavaria) in the early 1800's, settling in New Richmond, Clermont County, OH and Evansville, Vanderburgh County, IN.
Family group lists posted below provide names and what information I do have; followed by the text of a family history as told by my great-aunt in 1963.
Best Regards,

THE FAMILY HISTORY BY MARTHA JENNER; 1963 (reprint)
FRED JENNER continued living on the old JENNER FARM until it was sold due to LOUIS having a long siege with UNDULANT FEVER. FRED spent about a year with his daughter at RISING SUN, IN then returned to the home of his son in BOONVILLE, IN where he lived until his death.
ROSE MARY BURKHARDT, also written ROSIE MARY BURKHARD in the entry in the family bible and also spoken of as ROSIE in official family documents, was born on October 27, 1866. She was the oldest child born to WILLIAM BURKHARDT and CAROLINE KLEIN BURKHARDT. She had sisters, CARRIE -later mailed to B. Ayer; MARY JUSTINA -who did not live; MARY BARBARA; ANNA- who married DAVE KARNS; and STELLA who married twice but did not make a success of either marriage and they were both annulled. There were two boys born but the older did not live. The youngest child of the family was ADOLPH WILLIAM who later married HELEN WESTON -the AUNT HELEN we all know and love. ROSE was born above CINCINNATI, OH on a farm. None of the sisters had children and AUNT HELEN and UNCLE ADOLPH had only one child, WILLIAM, who was killed in an automobile accident on the highway home from college for Christmas vacation Dec.21, 1940.
ROSE and FRED JENNER met when she was visiting her sister, SOPHIA, who had married a butcher, CHRIS HAUSERMANN, who had a meat packing business in EVANSVILLE, IN. He visited her at her home in WINESBURG, OH address (near CONEY ISLAND, OH).
ROSE married FRED JENNER on Feb. 19, 1895, and they went to housekeeping on the JENNER FARM between NEWBURG and BOONVILLE, IN. They lived there all of their married life. They had two children LOUIS WILLIAM and MARY LUCILLE who have been mentioned earlier.
ROSE became a victim of PARKINSON'S disease and was an invalid for six and a half years. She passed away July 23, 1937 and is buried at EVANSVILLE, IN.
ROSE BURKHARDT JENNER'S FAMILY
CAROLYN KLEIN was the daughter of ADOLPH KLEIN who came to this country about 1848 after he had fallen into disfavor with the court by his reluctance to do some surveying according to orders from the KAISER of GERMANY. He intended to go to SOUTH AMERICA and shipped his surveyor’s outfit. Then an uprising there caused a change of plans and brought his family consisting of a son, ADOLPH, and two daughters, ROSE and CAROLINE, to the UNITED STATES. THE family had left GERMANY by stealth, slipping into FRANCE, and the loss of the tools was a big blow. They settled on the farm where ROSE and her sister and brother were later raised but they were not easily assimilated into the community and CAROLINE suffered more than the older brother and sister who were educated in the ENGLISH language, or nearly so, when they left GERMANY. The family did truck farming but did not do too well until after WILLIAM BURKHARDT, who had been raised near NEW RICHMOND, OH came at first as a farm hand, then as a suitor for the hand of CAROLINE.
The father of WILLIAM BURKHARDT was CHARLES BURKHARDT. This family had been at NEW RICHMOND for some time before the KLEIN'S came from GERMANY and were of German ancestry also. WILLIAM had three brothers and two sisters whose decedents are around NEW RICHMOND and CINCINNATI, OH. He was a veteran of the civil war but came home without injury only to lose an arm in a hunting accident later.
After CAROLINE'S death, the farm was sold and WILLIAM lived with his daughters in CINCINNATI, OH.
THE KLEIN'S and BURKHARDT'S are all deceased and buried in cemeteries near CINCINNATI, OH.
Grandchildren still live in various places.
ADAM JENNER came to the UNITED STATES from WERTENBURG, GERMANY, following an uprising there where he had become entangled and felt it best to find a new home. He was an engineer and worked in flour and saw mills. He married and had a son, JOHN, then his first wife died. He married LOUISA JENNER then who was not known to be related. She and her family had already been in EVANSVILLE,IN. She had three sisters and two brothers, one of whom died young and the other went west.
LOUISA'S sisters were married to men named, BROSE, BECKER and RASCH, all of whom raised families in the EVANSVILLE, IN area but most of them are no longer existent. ADAM kept no contact with any relatives in GERMANY and we do not know who they may have been. ADAM, LOUISA, the small daughter, were the first ones buried in LOCUST HILL CEMETERY where FRED and ROSE, ROSE KERTH, ELIZABETH and the sons of brothers all now rest. .
