Mark West was born in Glaway and enlisted in the Irish Constabulary in 1829 at age 20. He was married at the time to his first wife Ann Lochford who died in Ireland. Children born to these two, among others, were Marie b.1836, Jane, Thomas, Susan. Other children may have been born between 1929 - 1836. Mark's second wife, Ann Sole (spelling may be incorrect) may have been the mother of Ann and Ellen before the couple emigrated in 1849 to New York with all of the above mentioned children with them. A daughter,Elizabeth, was born at sea. Mark and family arrived in McGillivray Twp, Middlesex County Ontario for the 1851 Census. Nine other children were born before Ann's death in 1868. Mark then married a third time to Mary? and moved to Parry Sound District in northern Ontario where Mary died. Mark then married Faith Anderson in 1877 and had two more sons before he died about 1880. Does anyone know anything about this family and the families of his wives Lochford and Sole, Sale, Seale?
