Can anyone tell me of a site which lists the military barracks in Co Cork in the mid 18oo's? I have reached a brick wall and need to find a regiment (not known) based in Cork around 1857 which moved to England (London) before 1861, to find an elusive Captain Parker. The reason I have no more info, he fathered my illegitimate ggrandfather and promptly kicked my gggrandmother out of his wife's employ and disappeared, no doubt sent abroad. As you can see I am clutching at straws!!!
