I was at Moshassuck Cemetery in Central Falls yesterday and came across four graves, each stating that the person was a victim of the Mackinac disaster. Death year for all was 1925. I tried google and came up with nothing. I'm guessing this occured in RI. Was it a boat? A train? In a mill or factory? Has anyone ever heard of it before?
The names of the victims I found were: William T. Robinson age 12, Harold E. Sherman age 32, Martha S. McClelland age 19 and Celia V. Shea age 18. They were buried together in a row.
Thanks for any info!
