Jared was friend of my grandfather John Auld (lived on neighboring ranches--Huffmon kids went to Auld School). I have some postcards from Jared to my grandparents dtd around 1907.

My ggrandfather was Jared Banks Huffmon, son of Dr. David Edward Huffmon & Betsy Bybee. His son, Dave Edward Huffmon was my grandfather and Herbert Elton Huffmon my father. I have recently found where they connected to a Huffmon family tree beginning with Jarord B. Huffmon b.1818. Do you have information when Jared Banks Huffmon left Texas? He married Annie Boone in NM. I have no info on when Jared Huffmon left Texas. The Huffmon family arrived here in 1882 from Coryell County, TX. The Real County History says "Jared Banks moved to Artesia, NM and died there in 1900." Did you know two of his sisters married Boone men? I suspect his wife Annie was from here, also. I took some oral history from Jake (son of David Jr. "Bud") around 1977, but we talked mostly about the Auld family. I have postcards received by my grandparents, John & Viola Grigsby Auld from Jake's brother Jared B (b.1886): From Globe, AZ on 6/8 & 8/15, 1907 and from Bellevue,AZ 11/16/1907 & 8/8/1908 Do you have the information from our county history on the family? email me direct if you would like copies from the book.

Help if you can please. I'm in search of the Boone/Huffman connection. My husband's gg-grandparents were Joseph Jackson Boone and Evaline (Huffman) Boone. We just don't have any ancestors further back than these two. On an interesting note, there is a Jackson Boone listed as a brother to Sarah Quick and C. N. Boone on the 1880 census in Goliad Co., Texas AND in the 1910 census, "my" Boone family is in Artesia, NM. Thank you.

My great grandfather was Jared Banks Huffmon and he was married to Annie Boone. They were married in Texas and moved to New Mexico. I know very little about the Boone family except that which Diane supplied me. I know that some of the Huffmon girls married Boone men. It is interesting that your connection is with an Artesia Boone. I wonder if they are descended from my branch?

My theory is that Annie Boone, Curtis Nathan Boone and Joseph Jackson Boone were all related in some way. I think that Curtis Nathan Boone and Joseph Jackson Boone were brothers. Annie...I'm not sure about her yet. I can't find anyone (including my husband's family) who knows anything about this Boone branch and it's driving me crazy :-) Thanks for your information. btw...I did learn recently that Milam Jackson Boone (one of Joseph and Evaline's sons and my husband's great-grandfather) was murdered by his wife in Otero Co., NM in October 1952.

one of my g-grandmothers was mary ella huffman thompson. an article says that her father was jared huffman. i do not know her mother's name for sure, but it might have been mary. she had a sister named elizabeth huffman white. heresay is that they were from kentucky. did your jared have daughters named mary ella and elizabeth? please help if you can.

i have been looking for a jared huffman who would have been born sometime between 1815 and 1835, because all i know of my greatgrandmother's heritage is that her father's name was jared and her mother may have been named mary. my greatgrandmother, mary ella huffman thompson was born approx 1856, and was reportedly from the kentucky area. she did have a sister named elizabeth huffman white, but i do not know if she had any other siblings.
please help me figure this out if you can. thanks.
