Hello, Raul:
I was very happy to find your message. Unfortunately I have not been able to connect our families yet. The only information I have about my great grandfather, Miguel Camberos, is his name. I don't know his parents' names or if there were any brothers or sisters. It is the same for his wife, my g-grandmother. I only know that she was Guadalupe Galvan. (I suspect her name could be Maria Guadalupe Galvan.) Their son, Alejandro Camberos, was born in 1876. I am assuming he was born in Rosario (El Rosario?) in Sinaloa. I believe Alejandro was the youngest of the family and the other 5 were all girls.
The good news is that I went to the Mormon Church website and found this information:
Juan Camberos married Refugio Gusman, 1864, Santa Cruz, Rosales, Chihuahua, Mexico
Could this be the g-g-g-grandfather you mentioned in your listing? The time sounds about right. So does the place. Do you know any names for brothers of your grandfathers? That is were we will probably find our connection. When I searched the Mormon website further, I could not find any listings for my grandparents names. Perhaps they have not microfilmed the church records from El Rosario yet. I hope they do so soon.
I am sorry that I do not write to you in Spanish, too. I grew up in California and did not learn to speak or write Spanish very well. If I made an attempt, you would be rolling on the floor laughing and wondering what in the world I was trying to say! Please e-mail
