35 Keatings emigrated to New Zealand between 1871 - 1888. They travelled on 15 different ships, this was under a New Zealand emigration scheme.
I have the names, ships, dates etc for 11 of these (6 males and 5 females) they were all from the Caherciveen area of Co. Kerry. They all sailed on various ships from
England.
5 Keatings were shipwrecked on the "Cospatrick" which departed
London 10th September 1874, the ship caught fire 200 miles south of Capetown, no survivors.
I have Keatings who settled in Cantebury, Otago
