Daniel did die in 1901 after establishing a granite/stone cutting business in Bridgeport, Connecticut, and establising himself as a political leader in the Bridgeport. Catherine died in 1916. Patrick Joseph died in 1912. Daniel and Caterine had six children in addition to Patrick Joseph and Henry. Various descendents of those children around the United States are pooling information about each branch of the family. But, as I said, very little is known about the Smiths and Longs in Ireland.
