The Josiah Sweet family moved to New Haven, Adams Co. in 1855. Wife Eunice, children Clarinda, Orilla, Julia, Josiah, Eunice, David, Stephen, Oliva, Cecelia, Cora, Edwin, William, and John. Josiah and Eunice are buried in Big Spring Cemetery. Sons Edwin and William died in Civil War. Looking for information on all children and descendants.

Donald. Hello: I am a decendant of Josiah Sweet. The Joh you speak of is my great grandfather. He grew-up in Big Springs, Adams Co. (the Wisconsin Dells area) was responsibile for buliding the first dam in that area. He and his wife, Sarah Jane Towne married in Kilbown, WI on 11/2/1968, she was born 11/2/1844 died 9/11/1894, Greenfiled Indiana, burie din the Briggsville Cemetery. They had 9 children, in which one is my grandfather William John Sweet, born 12/28/1872 deid 7/2/1942 in Bruce Wi of a massive heart attack. He was married twice, had one child from the first marriage and 5 chiuldren with the second wife. My mother was part of the second marriage. If you want more info please let me know. You also listed the children of Josiah and Eunice but they also had a child that you have not listed Her name was Eliza (after g-g grandmother) born 6/1/1823-died 4/26/1891 married James Truax, Nealcomb N,Y There was a daughter named Orilla (the first one) born 10/3/1821-died 4/28/1823, wasn't quite 2, the second Orilla born 10/19/1827--don't know her death date.
