want to find father Bruce McCARTY in Oklahoma City in 1963

I am looking for a Bruce McCarty. He would have been in Oklahoma City in 1963. He met my mother at Kip's Big Boy (she worked there-her name was Nancy Anglemyer). He was selling encyclopedias in 1963, in OKC area.

Shelli, Sorry I can't help in locating your
father, but did you know a Russ Anglemyer
who was once married to a Nancy Anglemyer and
lived in Ohio? Nancy had a beautiful little
girl named Shelli. Could this be you?

Shellie Anglemyer (Nancy's daughter)

Yes, I am that Shellie. How do you know my mother? Did I know you as a child? I did find Bruce McCarty. We are in the middle of doing DNA tests now. I look forward to hearing from you.

Hi Shellie

Shellie, I'm happy to hear you found who you
were looking for. I hope everything turns
out the way you want it to be. Nancy was
married to my brother Russ Anglemyer. Actually
we all thought you were Russ' little girl.
Do you remember Mammy Pappy? They are both
deceased now. You were part of our family and
we often speak of you, wondering where you
were. We knew you were with your mom so you
were ok. You were young when you left Ohio.
Let me know how you are, are you married
and do you have children of your own?
The family will be so happy to know I have
heard from you. I'm sure you stay in touch
with your sisters. Do you stay in touch with
Russ? I must say I hardly ever hear from
my family myself. Please write and tell me
all about yourself. I always thought you
were the prettiest niece I had. Send me
your email address. Love you. Aunt Jean

Hi Jean!

My e-mail address is Keller893@aol.com. I am in touch with my sisters. Cheri lives close by and Sandy lives in Florida. They are close with Russ, but I am not. I've seen him approximately 3 times since I was very young (about 5 0r 6). Thank you for the very nice compliment. I am married since August 12 and very happy. I definitely remember mammy and pappy. I knew when each of them died. I loved them very much. I thought Russ was my father until the third grade when I accidentally found out when reading a letter from one of my sisters. It was better I found out, because I wondered why he didn't have much to do with me after the divorce. I am waiting on DNA results right now, and I am very excited. My alleged father knew nothing about me. He seems like a very nice man. I'll look forward to hearing from you. Happy Holidays! Shellie

Shelly, This is so amazing. I am your cousin Heidi. Hope you remember me. I saw Sandy a couple of years ago when I went to Florida. You may not be my real cousin, but hey, I always considered you one. You were also my best friend when we were very little!

I was just searching and realized I ahd never answered Heidi's email. I always considered you my favorite too, but when I saw people at the reunion I felt like a complete outsider. I never found out who my real father is.

Love, Shellie

Hi Shellie! Nice hearing from you! Where are you now - heard you were moving to California. As for the reunion, we thought you fit in perfectly. Don't feel bad about feeling like a complete outsider. After Mammy passed on there was nowhere to meet, then all the cousins grew up and went different directions. So just about all of you feel like complete outsiders because you weren't able to see each other while growing up. Jeannie & Jayne are the only ones who don't feel that way, probably because they are the older ones. Another reason is that all of the grand-children (including my kids) had an unhappy childhood due to broken marriages. So if you feel that way, you fit right in with the family. But we have always felt you are family.... and you are. Have you and your dad Russ ever had a DNA? I feel there's a big chance Russ is your biological dad as your Mom seemed to have gotten pregnant shortly after going back to OK.... and why did Russ go to OK and bring her back? Mom & Dad were living with me, and Russ & Nancy came to vist when they got back. Russ was happy to announce they were expecting a baby. Could she have been pregnant when she left Ohio? She and Russ were breaking up and making up quite often. You look like your mom, who was a very attractive woman when she lived here. Anyhow, we are very happy and proud to have you as part of our family.

Take care and keep in touch..... love you..... Aunt Jean
