Looking for anyone researching Flora Morgan, who is listed as a widow in 1930 in Denver CO census, but was actually married to my grandfather years earlier. The story goes that my grandfather married her to help take care of his girls (mom had died), but when he found out that Flora was mean to them, he "kicked her out" -this could have been simply he moved out as well, because he came back to his stomping grounds in Oklahoma, and married a 4th time- this time to my grandmother. I would like to find out birth, death, and Flora's actual maiden name or previous marriage info. Did she have any children? Might they have any photos to share? My dad has original marriage license- indicates they married in Rocky Ford,Otero County-which coincedently his sister (Rosa Lee- aka Rosalie- Daniel Allen)also lived in that town. If you have any info on Flora please contact me at spidey@positech.net. (Debbie Daniel Poelma)

I could not find any burial record on Flora Morgan in Otero County at http://www.coloradoplains.com/otero/cemeteries.htm

You will find a Rosalie Allen in Rocky Ford's Valley View Cemetery Block 27, Lot 7, space E in the above site. She and her un-named baby seem to share the same site.

I am just an interested Rocky Ford genealogist trying to help out. I did not know either person.

Thanks. Yes, Rosa Lee (as my family has her), or Rosalie (other records) is buried in that cemetery, along with her husband, his parents, and a few other in laws. The baby had to have been a grandbaby. Thanks for trying~

I know Flora shows up in the 1930 Denver Colorado census using her former name "Morgan" and lists herself as a widow. I am sure she never considered herself married, being with my grandfather for such a short time.

Thank you. I have since found Flora (I think). She is in Fowler Cemetery, listed as Florence E Daniel. She is listed in the 1940 census records as Flora Daniel, living in the household of her son Frank Morgan..and she is married with her husband not living in the home. It all seems to match up, but I am not sure this is her. Is it possible you can check for a more exact death date/obit? All I have is 1953. Maybe the obit can confirm this is the Flora I was looking for.
