Landestoy family in the US

Surnames: Landestoy, Pimentel, Lemes, others?
Hello,
I'm trying to find out if there's still any alive relative of the Landestoy- Pimentel in the US.
The family ran away from the Dominican Republic when the country was under the dictatorship of Trujillo (1930-1961) and, although I have found many people whose last name ids Landestoy, I'd like to find the relatives of this part of the family.
The family was composed by 4 sisters:
- Carmita Landestoy. She never got married and I found her death certificate. She died in NY in 1988.
- Consuelo Landestoy. She married a Spanish emigrant named Lemes and had several children in San Antonio, TX. She died in San Antonio, TX in 2003.
- Caridad Landestoy
- Concepcion Landestoy.
I don't know if they ever got married and if they are still alive or if they have descendants. I found an obituary for Concepcion Landestoy in Miami Dade, FL but I don't know if it's the same person.

My interest in locating any nieces/ nephews or relatives that are still alive is because I'm doing a research for the University of Houston about Carmita, a famous leader and feminist who fought for the rights of women as well as for the freedom of her country. In fact, she was under constant surveillance because she wrote a book against Trujillo reporting atrocities on the Trujillo dictator and the dictatorship.

If anybody knows about this family or knew this person, please, contact me in order to exchange some information.

Thanks a lot and I hope to hear from any you!

Hi ... I am Carmita's niece. She left me with many of her manuscripts of the later writings. At the time of her death I was living in Washington DC and I visited with her every month for a weekend.
She had many interesting stories to tell about her life. I would be glad to share this information. You can contact me at my email: e.m.lemes3@hotmail.com or by phone 630-627-6174 in Chicago Il. My sister lives in Houston, Tx./ and another one in San Antonio, Tx.
I would love to see what you have gathered on her so far. I have a cousin in Florida ... Conception's daughter. Carmita was married three times. Her first two husbands died and the last one was an alcholic and she "threw him out" ... no one knows what happened to him.
I look forward to talking with you.
Thank you for your interest in my aunt.

Hello!
Thanks for your reply! I also sent you a private email to the account you indicated but I received no answer from you!
I'd love to see the material you have and if you want, I can send you a copy of your aunt's book "Yo también acuso!" which she published first in NY and then in Cuba and was very famous among the Dominican exiles who fought against the Trujillo dictatorship.
Again, I'd love to talk to you so I will contact you again by email (mercefasenjo@yahoo.com) or phone ok?
Thanks so much, I really appreciate your message.
Hope to hear from you very soon.
Regards,

Mercedes
