I have quite a few "Rich" applications [that was shared with me from a very kind distant cousin] not a one of these Rich applications passed; all tried through Mary
HOOKER Rich
Marilyn this will help you and Shirley a bit to clear up George W. Shipworth and his Indian Application.
No: 16068 Action: Reject
Reasons: It does not appear that applicant ancestors were parties to treaties of 1835-36-46#16068
George
Washington SkipworthOn this same Indian Application G.W. lists
Newton V as "Varny" however I have Newton's death record that record states "N.V."...John Ben
Skipworth was his informant and son.
On census James B. and Mary lists his name as
Newton Vany.
It's a toss up as to which one is really his name. Huh???
I have him listed as
Newton Vany on all my documentations...reason being Varny just doesn't sound quite right...and by reading the census as Vany I decided to go that route.
If any one has any information on Richard or Sarah
Skipworth and or children I would appreciate any or all help.
Teresa
