I would appreciate any information on the following persons who are currently buried at the Matthew Kilgore Cemetery located east of Rancho Cordova on Kilgore Road

Alexander Thomasson (or Thomason) 1820 - 1895. He shows up under the Foreign-Born Voters of California in 1872 as "Thomason, Alexander....37 in ----.....born in Scotland....56455.

Diana Ann Thomasson 1820 - 1903 (or 1908)

M. Jane Thomasson Taylor Sept 9, 1845 - Feb. 16, 1931 - daughter of Alexander and Diana Thomasson; wife of David W. Taylor

David W. Taylor Feb. 29, 1840 - Sept. 15, 1960 (possible transcription error on death year...perhaps 1906...otherwise he lived an extremely long life)

B. F. Taylor Born 1832 Died 1918 - not sure if B. F. is David's brother

John B. Taylor Died Sept 3, 1889, aged 63 years 3 days - David's father?

Ann Elizabeth Taylor, wife of John B. Taylor. Died Feb. 6, 1917, aged 84 yrs 7 mos 20 days

Budd H. Taylor Dec. 28, 1868 - July 22, 1935 - not sure if he is related to the Taylor's listed above, maybe B. F. Taylor's son

Angeline D. Taylor 1871 - 1961 - Her marker is with Budd's.

Thank you to those who can help me on this. I believe they are my great-great- and great-grandparents on my father's side.

Surnames: Studarus Taylor Thomasson
I read that the Matthew Kilgore Cemetery was restored with a rededication Ceremony in May 2007. And I am starting to see how the Studarus family is connected with the Taylor/Thomasson family.

I live in Rancho Cordova and have a desire to explore and do some research and photograph the cemetery. As a matter of fact, I will be going over there this afternoon on my way to the grocery store.

I will keep you informed of the results.

I came across your post, due to some beautiful photos that were taken. I don't know if you had an opportunity to see them. They are taken by a gentleman who works for the City of Rancho Cordova and takes photos in his spare time (he really should do this for a living). His name is Steve Harriman and this is a link to his own website of photos. I thought since you had relatives here, you would enjoy seeing their final resting place and the celebration the City put on after bringing this Cemetery back to "life".

Thank you so much for providing me with a link to the Matthew Kilgore Cemetary celebration. What a complete difference to when I visited a few years before. Both my sister and I are stunned at how beautifully renovated the cemetary has become. I hope to visit again soon. I keep learning more and more about my father's family history which I've been able to trace back to Maryland in 1794. That part is still sketchy but I'm finding alot of info from Ohio where they lived before coming to California. Thanks again for the link!!!
