My husband's great great grandfather was a Henry Krutzfeldt b. 1845 in Schleswig-Holstein. He lived in Dysart, Tama Co., Iowa. He was married to 1. Margaretha Heckt and 2. Emma Plogman. He immigrated in 1881. Do you have any other information about other sibblings in your family? Clinton, Iowa in not that far from Dysart, Iowa; I am wondering if Joachim and Henry could be related?

I am trying to find information on my father's side of the family. He was Leonard Wellendorf born in Youngstown, MAHONIG, Ohio. I believe I have traced his paternal side back to a ggggrandfather August Wellendorf born in 1807 in Germany. If you have any inforamtion on WELLENDORF, I would appreciate it.

My mother was unable to come to the library with me today, but I think there is a good possibility that we may be on to something. Kruetzfeldt is my mother's maiden name. She said that some members of the family dropped the "e" after the "u" in their name. In the German language, there is a double dot above the name; and many people took the "u" as a double "i". Joachim would also go by the name of Henry after moving to America. I will get more information from my mother! My grandfather's name was Henry. I remember him being a very tall, large man with a very big nose. He loved circus music.

Does anyone have a connection to these names William Scott and Marie Heckt m. around 1800, in Bucks Co. Pa. The childrens names: Joseph lll, Susanna and David. Joseph m. Sarah Closson, Susanna m. Richard W. Clymer, David S. m. Elizabeth Afflerbach. Marie's father was said to be a minister named Joseph Peter Heckt. Just want to make sure we are going in the right direction and always looking for new cousins.
