I'm looking for ANY info on a Lilias FARLEY, who according to a Yukon death index, was 82 when she died in Aug 1989.

She was born in Ottawa (c.1907) and came to the Yukon in 1948, apparently owning a house which was called, the The FARLEY House.

She was an artist, and taught until 1972 (this info gathered from another website). Because the death index listed a middle name as "Ar de soif", I have very good reason to believe she was a cousin of my wife's maternal grandmother. The name "Ardesoif" was a surname back in the 1700's and then used as a middle name for subsequent children.

Lilias was my art teacher at FHCollins Secondary High School in Whitehorse in the late '60's and some of her work is on display at Yukon College in Whitehorse

I'm in NS and don't know if my friend (who was related to Lilias) will be up that way anytime soon, but at least she'll know where to visit! Thanks so much :)

I own a sculpture, carved by Lilias Farley in the 30's, very similar to the one shown in the photograph online.

My mother bought it in Montreal. Farley was fairly well known at that time in Montreal and is listed in relation to exhibitions at the Vancouver Art Gallery.
