Thank you for taking the time to read this. We have a Nathaniel PERKINS who was born in Jefferson County, New York in 1825. He had a brother, George Washington PERKINS. Both of the boys served in the Civil War. Nathaniel married Martha DORCHESTER in 1848. My grandmother thought his family came from Pennsyvania. We do not have any info on his family yet. We are looking for other siblings and his parents.
We have connected with Wayne Seibert who is a descendent of George. We have all of Nathaniel's children's descendents found. He and martha had Harriet Alvira, Catherine,
Caroline A., Emma, Bertha, Chloe, Jackson, Alfred, and George Washington PERKINS.
Would any of these names be in your family tree line.
I am looking for connections to his family.
Thank you,
Jan Johnson

I may be a descendent of Ute Perkins. I have established, through census records, that my great-grandfather's father is Robert Biggam Perkins (R.B. Purkins), born in North Carolina and died in Barry County, Missouri. I have not established definitely that Ute is the next earlier generation. One internet source suggests that Ute had a brother Elisha that was the next generation instead. I am interested in what you know. I am working on family group sheets for Robert Biggam Purkins and his son William Perkins. William's daughter Stella Leona Perkins Burris was my maternal grandmother. jkeenan623@aol.com
