Charles Deverger my 2nd Great Uncle I can trace his family back to 1600's France. Charles married Sarah Ann Press/Pressy and Catherine Defore. Charles's sister Julia is my 2nd Great Grandmother.
Charles moved to Calhoun County, Illinois in 1861, where he rented land. At the expiration of two years he purchased a tract of land one and one half miles east of Brussels and at once commenced to clear up his property. He resided there for a period of sixteen years, after which he sold that land and bought the farm he now occupies. (About 1877) This place contains one hundred and seventy acres of land on Section 4, Township 13, Range 2.

I think that the Hannah DeVergen b 5/1874 who married William Sandell b 1/1872, children: Gilbert 10/1899, Loretta 1902, Leslie a son 1904, Russel 1906, Earl 1908, Kathrine 1917 (my friend's mother), lived mostly in Bowling Green Missouri,
is the daughter Hanna 8 of Charles Deverge & Sara from the 1880 census.

Sarah dau of Joseph Presse/Pressy & Hannah Fitzwater. I note that Charles Degerlia m 10/46/1847 Rhoda Pressey. Is this Charles's first wife? How is she related to Joseph??

I would love to have Charles' ancestry.
