In the 1860 census, Shelby County, there is a John Mize, age 42, with no matching age female in the house.
Does anyone know what happened to Eleanor? I think her maiden name might have been Prutzman (Prussman?).
In the census there are these individuals with John:
I think George is my g grandfather.

Sarah, age 20
Landa, 18
Tobitha, 12 (this could be Tabitha)
Catharine, 9
George, 7
Martha, 3
Nancy E 11/12 b in Illinois.

It appears Eleanor might have died sometime in 1859 after Nancy was born???

Thanks for any clues, crumbs or otherwise!!

p.s. my other post must have been the wrong John Mize

Since that previous post I have found that John Mize was married to Sarah Henderson. The 20 yr old Sarah is his NEW wife. So, something happened to Eleanor (Prutsman) after George was born.
I have been unable to find info regarding John's death/burial and Eleanor's death/burial.
Any crumbs of information will be greatly appreciated!!
