Porfirio Diaz and Francisco Coss

Surnames: Ramos, Diaz
Two important people, but I can't find enough information on either one. On one side, I should be related to Porfirio Diaz. On the other side, we have Francisco Coss Ramos. I can't find enough information on either fellow. Porfirio was a Mexican Dictator. Francisco was a very popular general in the war (a boulevard, statue and building are named for him in Mexico). One of my ggrandma's was a Diaz, and a gggrandma was a Ramos. I can't find how they connect to these men yet.

You might have to contact the universities of
Arizona and Texas (their Mecha or Chicano
Historians) to get some information.

I´m trying to make our genealogic tree. My name is Regina Coss, and well, there is few people with this last name.
Right now i´m searchign for information, and the only thing a i got is only about how he took part int the mexican revolution, what i need is if he had sons or daughters or to whom he got married.
Thank you.

If I remember right, Francisco has a sister, but we moved and I can't find that information.

I still haven't figured out if my line is related to him by blood or by marriage yet...he was my g-grandmother's uncle. This is all I know (from a newspaper):

Francisco Coss Ramos born 8/15/1880. His mother was Paula Ramos de Coss, his father was Florencio Coss Rodriguez.

I'm trying to find out if my wife is related to General Francisco Coss. Her great grandfather was Francisco Edmund R. Coss. The family story is that he was the son of a man named Francisco Coss, but I don't know if that is the same man as the General. And the family story continues back a couple more generations, we think, to General Martin Perfecto de Cos -- who took part in the Battle of the Alamo during the Mexican-American War. But I can find no documentation for any of these connections, and it is particularly hard because I do not speak Spanish.

Do you know any information about the children of General Francisco Coss? And do you know if he happened to be the grandson of General Martin Perfecto de Cos?
