Grandmother was Lulu Pearl Mocabee. She married
my grandfather Moses Worstell in Indian Territory.
She had moved from Kentucky with a couple of
brothers or uncles. She died in 1939. Never knew her.
Have never had close ties with Mocabees. I
know there are some in the Montana area I believe.

Tom, I have a Lulie Pearl Mocabee 1885-1939,born Mocabee Creek, Carter, KY. Parents William H. Mocabee (1857-1924)and Frances Mannin (b. 1857), Grandparents David M. Mocabee (1812-1886) and Anna M. Brinegar (1812-1898 of KY and have info further back. Lulie's children were Ward, Jessie, Polly Ann, Ethel, Pearl and William Worstell. Your famiy?

There was an other son named Lawrence. It is reported that the younger children were left in an orphanage after the divorce. It has been said that when Moses went to the orphanage to pick up the children he wouldn't take Lawrence because he said he didn't belong to him. It also has been said Moses did not recognize him. No one seems to know where Lulu or Lulie is buried or what happened to Lawrence. It would be great to find out. I am a nephew of Moses F. Worstell.
